COBBLE HILL TOWNHOUSE
The Cobble Hill Townhouse is a large 1850s townhouse in the Cobble Hill Historic District of Brooklyn, New York. Elizabeth Roberts Architects renovated and restored the building, added a sizeable three-story addition to the rear, and designed the home’s interior, integrating the client’s art collection. Pale wood flooring throughout meets pure white walls for a fresh, open feeling combined with the warmth of wood, stone, and wicker accents. A sculptural plaster staircase creates an impactful visual connection between spaces.
A double-height kitchen is located at the garden level of the house, within the rear extension, and is connected directly to the garden with a 20-foot-high steel window wall. Low Settle designed by Studioilse and crafted by De La Espada features in this space.
