AMASTAN PARIS

Amastan Paris, which opened in the summer of 2016 in the heart of the 8th arrondissement, is the first flagship of the urban hotel brand, Amastan. Inspired by the classic codes of Parisian apartment architecture, design studio NOCC carefully considered each aspect of the hotel’s interiors and atmosphere in a way that is at once quietly eclectic, comfortable and gently understated.

A striking petrol-blue herringbone parquet is a signature throughout the hotel, playfully applied to the walls on the ground floor, and to the walls and flooring in the 24 guest rooms. This bold design feature provides a subtle contrast to the otherwise restrained and pared down aesthetic.

The rooms, spread over six floors, include bespoke furniture in juxtaposing textures and materials including ash, lacquered oak, copper and brass, which play against the airy white accents seen in the bathrooms’ marble tiling. Guest rooms facing the back of the hotel benefit from beautiful garden views.

The bar Anouk welcomes an international and local clientele through its own separate entrance. Expertly crafted cocktails and rare spirits are served alongside a healthy menu of light snacks. In the timeless style of a classic Parisian home, Anouk opens out through a set of large bay windows onto a lush internal garden. Solo Bar Stool, designed by Neri&Hu and crafted by De La Espada, provides comfortable seating at the unique ombré marble high table overlooking the garden.
